Research shows that up to 50 per cent of people living with CHD endure a lifetime prevalence of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, as a result of their condition. Having early access to psychological support is key to people having better outcomes.
However, many parents, focused on caring for a sick child in hospital, will only realise they need support once their child has left hospital and they are home again. The Psychological Support Service is our most availed of service to and the one on which we spend the most of our revenue – all of which comes from public fundraising.
Demand for this key service grows continually and your much needed support would make a huge difference. Please donate today.
