Heart Children collects details provided by you for the purposes of making a donation, sponsoring someone that is fundraising on our behalf, creating a direct debit donation, or to purchase goods. We record the contact and transactional details on a database in order to manage our supporter relationships.
Heart Children invites you to become a member of the organisation so you can benefit from the services and supports we provide. It also links you as part of the CHD community in Ireland. The information you provide to us allows us to build a national profile of where our members are located and allows us to direct you to appropriate supports where necessary.
Heart Children only holds PPSNs for the minimum period required in order to obtain tax relief. When tax relief is obtained the PPSN is deleted from our donor data base. Only the data controller has access to individual’s PPSNs which are held in a separate secure file.
We will use your contact details to communicate with you. We may use your information to send you news and latest updates about Heart Children’s services, events and fundraising initiatives. We may contact you by post, email, telephone for these purposes as specified in your preferences on sign-up. You can unsubscribe at any time, which will automatically delete you from our subscription list.
To change your contact preferences simply contact us by email info@heartchildren.ie. Your information may also be use in aggregate for statistical purposes. If you discover that we are hold inaccurate information about you, you can request us to correct that information at any time by calling 01 – 8740990 or emailing info@heartchildren.ie.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
