Supporting children with CHD into adulthood.
The programme provides you with access to the Dytt health and wellness app for eleven weeks – Sept 15 to Dec 5th 2025 with the goal of promoting and encouraging adults with CHD, of all fitness levels and abilities, to get active by logging even the simplest of daily activities as steps which count towards meeting a daily target of 7,000 steps.
Download and register on the app to log your exercise to include everyday activities such as climbing the stairs, making a cup of tea or walking to the bus stop as steps to reach the goal of logging a minimum of 7,000 steps per day.
Extra steps are also awarded for taking on a bonus mission for a list provided – such as meeting with someone else who has CHD for a coffee or taking a walk and collecting a bag of litter.
The user is also allowed to provide ‘buddy access’ to a relative or friend in order to keep them motivated over the 77 day challenge.
Healthy competition is encouraged and a county leaderboard will allow adults with CHD to view others who are active in their area and to use local maps to take a virtual walk in their locality. It’s a great way to connect with others living in your locality who have CHD!
Keeping active doesn’t have to mean going to the gym or running marathons.
You can boost your heart and mental wellbeing simply by doing what you already do — walking, tidying, shopping, or going to work. The message is to do whatever you can, wherever you can and to always exercise within your own comfort range.
