Chaela’s 100km Challenge

Chaela’s 100km Challenge

Chaela Gonda was just nine years old when she tragically passed away in 2017. Chaela was a determined, bright, fun, bubbly, loved, and very happy little girl, adored by her parents, Mike and Yvonne. Born with congenital heart disease, Chaela underwent successful surgeries at CHI Crumlin. Her passing was unexpected and sudden, an unexplainable loss to her parents.

Since Chaela’s unexpected passing, Mike and Yvonne have been dedicated to fundraising for Heart Children Ireland. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mike, Yvonne, and their colleagues from St. Jame’s Hospital for their most recent fundraiser that took place in June. With the help of their colleague Kelly, they organized Chaela’s 100km Challenge. Participants signed up through the Strava App and logged their daily walks and runs, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere among staff and friends.

Together, they raised an incredible €3,045 for Heart Children’s support services. The funds raised will have a significant impact on helping our members and families across Ireland.

Congratulations to the winners and thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to participating in Chaela’s 100km Challenge next year!
