Thank you to Dave Keane who has fundraised over €5275 for our Play Therapy Fun. Thats over 100 hours of therapy for children with CHD and their siblings!
On July 16th Dave set off on a 10-day, 250km solo trek around the Kerry Way to raise funds for Heart Children Ireland.
Before starting his chalenge Dave told us his plan. ‘The Kerry Way trail is 215 km and will take me 10 days to complete. I plan to add an additional 35 km to this route and an additional 4000m elevation, which will incorporate his Off Trail Peaks Challenge. My intention is to reach an elevation of up to 10 000 m. My Off Trail Peak challenges will include summiting Caher, Carrauntoohil, Cnoc na Toinne, Cnoc na Chuillinn to name but a few. The combination of these off-trail peaks will total the 10,000m’s I want to summit.’
At the end of day ten Dave had walked 284km and 10,000 metres elevation!
