The Beat Goes On Transition Conference

Moving from paediatric to adult CHD care at age 16 is a huge step-up for young people and handing over care to the child you have minded since birth can be equally challenging.

The inaugural Beat Goes on Transition Conference takes place on Saturday, Feb 18th from 10-2.30pm in the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Pearse St, D 2 and will offer programmes that support positive mental health and well-being for both adolescents and their parents.

Our keynote speaker on the day is Dr Liza Morton from Glasgow – a counseling psychologist who was born with CHD and is a passionate advocate for improved standards in adult CHD care in Scotland. She has co-authored a recently launched book, ‘Healing Hearts and Minds – a Holistic Approach to Coping with Congenital Heart Disease.’
